Project Description:

We are looking for two volunteers for versatile tasks in municipality of Konnevesi.
Konnevesi 4H Association offers free-time activities, clubs, trainings, work, entrepreneurship, internationality and trips for young people aged 6-28. The volunteer will be working with subjects mentioned above, for example with youngsters in the local youth center. The volunteer can also can have his/her own club with themes of internationality and multiculturalism (or something else fitted the volunteer’s own interests) for youngsters.The volunteers will also make posters and plan events/activities in the office of Konnevesi 4H Association.
The volunteer will also have tasks with the students of the schools in Konnevesi. The volunteers will have tasks for after-school activities with children and youngsters of all ages. The volunteers can also work in local kindergarten. The volunteers will work for the municipality’s free-time office for event planning/management and office work.

Volunteer Profile: 

  • We are looking for volunteers aged 18-30, with good communication skills.
  • The volunteers should be able to work and communicate in English.
  • We are looking for people that are open-minded, responsible and interested in youth work and non-formal learning. They should be reliable and adjustable and happy to work with different kinds and aged people.
  • The volunteers should be able to work independently, but especially own good group working skills. Basic IT skills are considered the applicant’s advantage.
  • We require that the volunteers already have the sending organisation at the time of applying.

12 Months EVS in Karlovac, Croatia

Project Description:

This a long-term EVS project that will take place in Karlovac (Croatia). It is related with our program Youth Centre. Youth Centre is a place of non-formal education and leisure activities for young people. We organise there various activities – art and creative workshops, art exhibitions, IT workshops, foreign languages lessons, social and pedagogical workshops, information activities. This project is focused on the promotion of these activities and implementation of similar activities.
Tasks of the volunteers:
* making short videos about activities in the Youth Centre
* creating graphic materials (posters, leaflets) aimed at promotion of the Youth Centre
* online and face-to-face promotion of the Youth Centre (administration of Facebook and Instagram, presenting activities in the Youth Centre to young people)
* preparing and implementing workshops for young people (topics: art, youth information, etc.)
* developing own activities.

  • We are looking for young people aged 18-30 who are interested in youth work, have good communication skills, who are independent in individual work but who are also able to work in a team and willing to learn new things.
  • They should also be responsible, adjustable, reliable, open-minded, friendly and tolerant.
  • The level of education and work experience is not important.
  • However, volunteers should have knowledge and experience in making short videos and graphic design.

9 Months EVS in Quimper, France

Project Description:

The MPT Penhars was founded 1964, it’s an association which is dedicated to popular education (Socio-cultural and Citizens’ education). The MPT is located in a neighborhood where many people have to challenge different conditions of fragility : social, economic and psychological. The aim is to promote the values of sharing, tolerance, solidarity and the principle of secularism and democracy. The 25 employees together with the help of many volunteers try to improve the living conditions of the local community.

The volunteer will have three main tasks :
– Organise and lead workshops for foreigners willing to learn french language
– Promote mobility programms (EVS, Workcamps, Workaway, ect.)
– Support the general activities of the hosting organisation.

9 Months EVS in Brıec De L’Odet, France

Project Description:

The association was founded in 1963. L’ESAT (Etablissement et Service d’Aide par le Travail) and the centre “Les Genêts d’Or” welcome 126 adults (age 20 to 60 years old) with mental or physical disabilities. Some of them come for the daytime, others are living in shared appartments or in their own appartments, which are looked after by the 65 staff members. The adults are working in professional workshops (like metalwork, floricultural work, gardening, woodwork..) or they are participating in other activities like artistic workshops, swimming, gardening, looking after the animals of the farm, cooking, ect.  THE PROJECT AND ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER :
– Help the staff to organise and lead cultural, sport, and art activities for the residents, and excusions.
– Organise some evening or week-end events.
He or she will work in small groups or in a single person. It would be very nice if the volunteer could organise a project around an intercultural topic.

10 Months EVS in Ostrava, Czech Republic

Project Description:

We are currently looking for two volunteer for Salesian centre Don Bosco in Ostrava, Czech Republic. We’ll apply the project to deadline in February. Your main tasks will be to work with Roma kids and youngsters, many of them are from socially very difficult background. We offer few possibilities how to participate:
1. Oratory – open club where children come every day and we prepare a programme for them, based on games, to develop their basic skills,
2. Oratory in the streets – we have caravan and three times a week we go directly to socially excluded areas to work with pre-school kids and help them prepare for their entrance to primary school,
3. Hobby groups – we have many hobby groups, for example dancing, sport, creative, languages, music and so on.
4. Spiritual programmes – we also prepare some spiritual programmes for kids. 5. Events – during the year we organize many events for kids and also for families.

Project Description:

Are you interested in sport? Do you like working with young people? Then be part of our team of the youth center “JUKUZ”! You assist in all kinds of sport events, youth activities and youth exchanges. You also gain insight into the running of a very active youth center. Apart from sport projects, we also offer a wide variety of different activities for young people, e.g. youth radio, media work, music projects … Our aim is to introduce our target groups to intercultural exchange through the help of the European volunteer.
The JUKUZ is located right in the center of Aschaffenburg. What can you expect of Aschaffenburg? With 70 000 inhabitants, it is a very vibrant city with lots of opportunities to go out. Cinemas, theatres, museums, language schools, pubs, clubs and much more! Also, Frankfurt am Main with its international airport is just 50 km away.

Project Description:

The multi-generational house in the small village of Johannesberg (4000 inhabitants) is a meeting place for all generations. It’s open to people of all ages, nationalities and origin. Their motto is “Everybody is welcome!” and the most important principle is „The young help the elderly and vice versa“. It offers low threshold services like flexible child care, help the elderly with their shopping and house work, help refugees and migrants and much much more!
As a European volunteer you get the chance to experience many different fields of work through the wide range of diverse activities and projects the Mehrgenerationenhaus has to offer. You are also invited to initiate your own ideas and projects.

10 Months EVS in Ostrava, Czech Republic

Project Description:

We are currently looking for two volunteers for the project EVS that will be held in the Czech Republic in Ostrava.We’ll apply this project to deadline in October. Volunteers will be working in our NGO and they will be involved in all activities we do. Volunteers will help with organising activities for our local community, with preparing and organising international projects for young people and youth workers, they will help with promotion of our activities and they will also prepare activities for kids in primary school we cooperate with. Volunteers will have many opportunities to realise their own activities and miniprojects. They will also help with preparing some activities for our local catholic church parish that we are in very close cooperation with, so we expect volunteers who have positive attitude to Christianity. We will give them opportunity to learn, what does it mean to work in NGO, how to work with different target groups, how to organise projects and many others.

Project Description:

We are looking for a volunteers who want to learn how to work with childer at the age from 6 till 15, or with younger children. Our EVS project that we’ll coordinate will take part in primary school and kindergarten in Staré Město, small village near Frýdek-Místek and Ostrava.. Although it is connected with formal educational system, volunteers will be working with children mainly in their leisure time, in the aftenoon school club.
Working tasks:
– preparing small activities for breaks or free time between lessons
– helping with after school tutoring
– preparing some workshop for school clubs
– helping young children with moving in the school
– preparing different events
– helping with the programme in kindergarten with children at the age from 3 years old.
