European Voluntary Service (EVS) is a specific youth programme placed under the general framework of Ersmaus+, which provides young people with the chance to travel abroad in order to express their commitment to personal development and European citizenship through unpaid and full-time voluntary activities in a foreign country within or outside the EU. Maltepe District Governorship get accredited as the sending and coordinating EVS organisation by the Turkish National Agency of European Union for the next 3 years.
In this account, our governorship was granted authorization for sending young people (17-30 y.o.) to participate in EVS projects lasting from 2 months to 1 year. Without looking after financial interests, but with clear spiritual reasons, EVS participants are supposed to join various humanitarian project activities to develop new skills and, therefore, improve their personal, educational and professional development. During their volunteering services, participants are all covered for their travel, accommodation and other allowances for subsistance by the related Erasmus+ programme budget. For more information about application and acceptance requirements, you can visit the EVS section above in this website.
